What we leave out
Your rates. We do not publish a nightly price anywhere on this site. We prefer to lead guests to your website for more information.
What we never do
Take a booking. Hold a payment. Charge a commission. Stand between you and your guest. There is no dashboard to log into and no contract to get out of.
Book Direct by Owner is a directory and nothing more. We are not a party to your bookings, not an agent for you, and not a broker, an insurer or an escrow service. We take no payment and hold no deposit. Listings are built from owners and from public information, so they may contain errors. The availability and terms you set are the only ones that count. Tell us about anything that is wrong and we will fix it or take it down.

- What do you need from me?

- Can I just link my Airbnb?
- Not on its own. Guests here have to be able to reach you without a platform fee in the middle. Keep your Airbnb, VRBO or Booking.com listings running alongside. Nothing here is exclusive.
- What does it cost to list?
- Nothing. We take no commission and never handle the booking, so there is no fee to charge. We have no plans to start charging owners.
- My place is already listed here. Who put it there?
- We did, from what you have already published on your own site. Nothing about it is exclusive and nothing is owed.
- How do I correct or remove a listing?
- Email us. No form, no account, no approval step. We make the change as soon as we see it. If you want the listing gone it goes, and we will not ask you why.
- Do you publish my rates?
